About Us

Porter Consulting

Porter Consulting is a well-established consultancy specialising in building code compliance and consulting. The company was established in 2015, but its founder, Justin Porter, has a deep-rooted foundation in building surveying stretching back for over 20 years.

The company was created from a desire to set a new benchmark in building code consulting. We focus on maintaining our exemplary standards at all times while providing proactive and innovative services for our clients.

With extensive experience on a large variety of projects, Porter Consulting is well equipped to undertake even the most technical and complex developments. From basic building approval service to a full design-service package, we can liaise with your project team to provide consistency in interpretive matters and add value to the design and construction process.

Our willingness to embrace innovation and the very latest technologies, combined with high levels of customer service has allowed us to grow rapidly since the company’s inception. Today, the majority of our projects range in construction costs from $5M to $1B.

How We Help

Porter Consulting has in-depth experience with a wide variety of project types. These projects include commercial, mixed-use, and residential developments including specialist developments such as educational facilities, multi-storey offices, health care buildings, warehouses and factories.

We have worked extensively in the development of new buildings as well as the redevelopment of existing buildings. We can also assist with fire-engineered performance solutions and performance solutions to improve accessibility, weatherproofing and other provisions.

We offer extensive knowledge and industry experience coupled with an adaptable service. Over the years, we have refined and streamlined our processes. This seamless approach allows us to take the time to understand our clients’ needs and provide tailored solutions to match.

We maintain all necessary licensing and accreditation at all times and hold high-level professional indemnity insurance, allowing us to minimise the risk for any project we undertake. We are also an Accredited Body Corporate under the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors (AIBS) Professional Standards Scheme.
