Bernice has more than 11 years industry experience working in senior legal support positions for boutique and top-tier law firms in Perth and Sydney, in addition to working in London for Clifford Chance, one of the world's largest law firms in the United Kingdom.
During this time, she focused on a variety of areas of law including general commercial, litigation, banking, insolvency, medical negligence, energy & resources, corporate and employee relations.
With a major career highlight including assisting with the management and discovery process for a large contract dispute matter through to its hearing at the High Court, Bernice has gained valuable insight into the expectations of support staff in the legal profession.
As head of the Legal Division for Porter Consulting Group, Bernice is responsible for managing the permanent and temporary recruitment of legal support staff including legal receptionists and clerks, legal assistants, legal secretaries, PA's & EA's through to senior support and corporate services staff.
Bernice also leads our niche Legal Technology Division across Australia and has an intimate understanding of legal technology group services within a law firm and bureau provider environment. With our strong reputation of having specialised knowledge and expertise in this area, Bernice regularly recruits for discovery paralegals, document management staff, technical analysts, project coordinators and managers, through to state managers and other senior level positions within the industry.
Currently studying towards her Professional Diploma in Human Resources through Deakin University, Bernice undertakes continuous professional development by attending regular seminars, courses and forums as an active member of the Australian Human Resources Institute in Western Australia.
